YCID RELEASE #5, 1969 DODGE DART GTS 440 in BUTTERSCOTCH with KELSEY HAYES WHEELS! This car is unique in real life and now in diecast. In 1969 you couldn't order a Dart GTS in Butterscotch off the paint chart. However back then you could special order any color you like and when this color was available for the B Bodies (Road Runner/Coronets) in late 69, 3 people order this for there Darts. Its special order paint code #999. Research says only 3 were painted this way in 1969 and only one is registered in the Dart GTS Registry. That real car has painted steel wheels however knowing that Highway 61/Acme has the tooling for the Kelsey-Hayes wheels I opted for them.
If you know about these you know that they were recalled after a couple of months because they would crack. Extremely rare on the real cars and almost as rare on the diecast versions so I thought it was fitting to add the rarer wheels with redlines to the rarest paint code Dart you could get.
These of course are the standard old school Highway 61 detail, including fully plumbed and wired engine, interior with woodgrain center console, 4 speed, movable seats and vent windows. Trunk includes proper mat and instructions on the decklid. The chassis is also fully detailed with overspray, brake lines, fuel lines and proper colored exhaust. The model is topped off with YCID 5 license plates (will be much nicer on production model, sample shown) and a signed, numbered (1-69) Certificate of Authenticity, your number will vary.
