The famous 1938 streamliner New York Central J3a Dreyfuss Hudson, styled by Henry Dreyfuss, is the first offering in the Lionel Smithsonian Collection of model trains. The Lionel Smithsonian Collection J3a Dreyfuss Hudson is a Limited Edition recreation of the original in uncompromising and full operating detail. Only 500 of these scale locomotives and tenders will be built. Each will be individually numbered and handcrafted of brass, nickel silver and stainless steel, and will feature a state-of-the-art sound and smoke system. This J3a Dreyfuss Hudson locomotive comes with a fully operational oak display case controlling the drive, sound and smoke systems.
