This is a very rare and limited edition Sunstar 4782 1:12 scale model of the 1956 Morris Minor 1000 Saloon. It becomes even rarer due to its colour being grey, and carries a limited certificate number of 0293 of 2000 made, worldwide.
The brand of Sunstar is at the top end of the diecast model world, in terms of its quality and intricate detailing which makes the model a great addition to any collection. This highly detailed collectable 1:12 scale replica of the every popular family car of the 1950's and early 60's, is a stunning model, which has been assembled by hand and comprises of over 250 parts. It features opening doors, Bonnet and Bootlid, along with working suspension, operational steering, extending trafficators etc. Under the bonnet is a highly detailed engine, which looks just like an original!
In the boot is a removable spare wheel along with a toolkit & jack in a separate pouch. It's interior is amazing, a blast from the past, and again, looks just like the real thing. With mats, sun visors, door handles etc it's beautiful. In comes in its original box which is in very good condition, however one end flap is missing.
It polystyrene interior packaging is all complete and still has the limited edition certificate attached to it. The car itself is in wonderful condition, still has the plastic protection covers to the windows. I don't think it's ever been displayed, I have removed it from the packaging for the photos and noticed that the boot handle appears to have been broken off at some stage, and an attempt has been made to refix it, however they have allowed a small amount of clear glue to drip onto the bottom right of the bootlid and not cleaned it off. I have tried to picture this in the photos, but it is hard to see, even with the naked eye!
I just wanted to point it out to avoid any disappointment. As I say, it's very hard to see!
All the doors handles and the famous bonnet badge etc is all in place as far as I can see.
